JONAS WARD
SHADOW Moody with quick-to-fluctuate emotions. Depressed. Angry and willing to show it. Extremely selfish; wants to focus on himself and his own needs. Insular, preferring to be alone. Contrastingly desperate for affection. Hates authority, the wealthy, and the intelligent. Begrudges his family for emotionally abandoning him in his time of need. Heavily addicted to adrenaline and anything that will make him happy in the moment; prone to doing risky or daring things for attention or stealing to assuage his anxiety. Wants to act out and will.
DOOR Edwards Island. Three square miles of limestone and coal condensed into one for the purposes of the game. Extensive forests and coastline. Locations fold in on themselves like an Escher painting. His childhood home is located at the heart of it all, abandoned and in disrepair.
HOME Rented from a fishing boat captain named Captain Hồ Văn Khai. Seaside shanty two storeys from street level, accessible by two step ladders. Due to sinkage, the home has a gradual but noticeable slant to its floor and ceiling. Its interior is dim and dingy, with only three rooms: the main room, a bedroom, and a small washroom. The decorations are a mariner's comfort objects; there are all manner of buoys, glass fishing floats, superstitious trinkets, crystals for positive vibes, and netting. A lot of netting.
