Right in here. (already rummaging through cupboards to supply them with mason jar cups. they came with the cottage, used by the people who lived here beforeβhe still has to move on from that fact, and it hits him at the strangest times.)
This is the kitchen, then we got some kind of unfinished basement that was probably used for storage. Then the yard goes out that way, (gestures to the door that's beginning to look lush on the opposite side,) and the dining room's back where we came through. I... like the living room the best, honestly. It's got a fireplace and stuff.
Oh, yeah! I totally did that when I was growing up, too. Cookies and milk...pretty nostalgic, but never gets old, am I right?

My place is pretty huge, but that's because I live with four other people. It's got a music room, and a working fountain in the middle of the house! It's actually super fancy. But... I like it here, too.

I think living in a smaller place has its own perks, too. My mom and I lived in a small apartment together until I turned eighteen, so when I started living in all these big places, it was kinda like culture shock in a way. Y'know?

That's awesome. I was close with my mom, too. (more than content to discuss it, but being away from his dad's been wearing on him. it's subdued, albeit present in his expression, choosing instead to tilt his head towards the rest of the cottage.) My dad and I get on, but he's pretty helicopter-y now. For good reason, of course, he's... uh, protective? I guess.
